Garuda Indonesia has launched a new check-in service at five ports in the Pearl River Delta.
Passengers on Garuda flights from Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) can now check-in at Macau Maritime, Macau Taipa, Dongguan Humen, Shenzhen Shekou and Shenzhen Fuyong ports. All five facilities will enable full check-in services, including boarding pass printing, baggage check-in and tagging, tax refunds and customs clearance, prior to the ferry journey to HKIA.
“In recent years we could see an enhanced connectivity within Pearl River Delta Region. We are very excited about the introduction of this new upstream check-in service in the Pearl River Delta region, which helps enhance the connectivity for customers. We believe that, apart from bringing a more efficient and convenient travel experience to our customers, the new service helps encourage more people travelling to Indonesia with Garuda to stop via Hong Kong,” said Riza Perdana Kusuma, Garuda’s General Manager for Hong Kong & Macau.
Garuda currently offers direct flights from Hong Kong to both Jakarta and Bali.
