Connect will be sharing its knowledge in online advertising and interactive marketing at this year’s ATM.
It is the first ATM for the communications company and it wants to encourage the travel industry to include online initiatives as part of the marketing mix.”More and more users go to the net first and search online for their travel related enquiries, places to visit, restaurants to eat, and hotels to stay. If your competitors are online and you are not, that’s a disadvantage & immediate opportunity lost for being one of the choices decided upon by the consumer,” said Connect CEO Alexander Rauser.
“We do not believe there is ‘a heal-all package’, but by sharing knowledge and ideas we hope to stimulate business owners.”
Rauser noted that ‘big names’ in the Middle East were already using Twitter and Facebook to engage customers but smaller brands could benefit from a stronger online strategy overall. Connect will be on hand to discuss social media, mobile and online advertising and the relevant methods and tools.
“We hope we can evangelise hospitality business owners to use digital media to improve their online communication and gain a greater mind share of their audience’s attention,” said Mr Rauser.
