Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) is set to host a dedicated international conference for family tourism, the first event of its kind in the region.
Taking place at the end of the year, the Sharjah International Conference for Family Tourism will look to highlight new trends and prospects of the family tourism sector.
Mohammed Ali Al Noman, chairman of SCTDA, said the strategic vision of SCTDA “includes ambitious objectives to enhance the tourism sector of the emirate through an action plan that promotes its tourism future”.
“Sharjah International Conference for Family Tourism will activate one of the most important pillars of the new vision, which is to strengthen the status of the emirate as the ‘Ideal Family Tourism Destination’,” he added.
It is hoped that experts and specialists in the tourism sector from all over the world will come together “to find innovative solutions and recommendations to overcome the challenges in family tourism”.
SCTDA recently launched Sharjah Tourism Vision 2021, which aims to attract 10 million tourists by 2021.
