A storm has unloaded hail stones the size of golf balls on Melbourne, bringing the city to a standstill on Saturday, Channel NewsAsia has reported. The storm unleashed 19mm of rain in just 18 minutes on Australia’s second city, flooding streets and leading to the cancellation of sporting events. Residents reported seeing hail-stones 5cm in diameter fall for about 10 minutes.
