The Royal Borough of Greenwich has launched a new tourism campaign to generate more visitors off the back of the Olympic Games.
Its ‘Discover More’ promotion will be targeting day trippers and holidaymakers to come back to the area to visit its attractions with special offers made available through its website.
Tourism in Royal Greenwich is already worth GBP774 million to its economy annually with its bedbank to increase fourfold in the next year and a regeneration programme in place.
Most recently the Cutty Sark was reopened earlier this year and its visitor centre, park and Old Royal Naval College remain tourism favourites, as well as concerts in the O2.
“This is about creating another surge in our already booming local tourism industry. We are seeing a wave of new hotels and attractions opening and we have a skilled and trained local workforce to support this growth which provides local jobs and boosts our economy,” said Councillor Chris Roberts on the new campaign.
