Hawaiian Airlines passenger traffic rises in May

Hawaiian Airlines has announced its systemwide traffic statistics for the month of May, with passenger traffic, measured in revenue passenger miles (RPM), rising 1.6%. Capacity, measured in available seat miles (ASM) was reduced by 0.9%, leading to a 2.2 point rise in load factor, which stood at 83.3%. Year-to-date, passenger traffic has fallen 0.9% on the back of a 2.8% decline in capacity. Load factor for the first five months of the year averaged 82.7%.
