Hertz enters Bangladesh market

The Hertz Corporation, the car rental company has entered the Bangladesh market, by setting shop at two new locations in the business district of Dhaka to cater for leisure and business travel with airport transfers, chauffer drive and long term rentals. The company also offers inter-city transfers between Dhaka and other main city points such as Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar. Hertz is offering a fleet of air-conditioned sedans, sports utility vehicles, minivans and minibuses.
The two new Bangladesh locations are in the Malibag and Gulshan areas of Dhaka. Hertz has signed a partnership with licensee Mollah Netcom Ltd to operate the Hertz brand in the country. This move brings Hertz’s network in Asia to approximately 1,300 locations in 13 countries. Michel Taride, President Hertz International and Executive Vice President at Hertz Corporation, commented: “Bangladesh is enjoying strong economic growth. Hertz is certainly well-positioned to ride on this growth trend. With influx of foreign direct investments, there is increasing demand for top class car rental services. Hertz Bangladesh delivers quality products and services to meet the discerning needs of both corporate and leisure customers.” Mollah Netcom Ltd is part of the Mollah Group of Industries, with Bismillah Airlines, a cargo carrier of Bangladesh as its largest business.
