Car rental company, Hertz, announced a new partnership with Oman Air’s Sinbad frequent flyer programme at Arabian Travel Market last week. From 1 June, Sindbad members travelling with the carrier can earn 500 miles for every eligible rental of a standard vehicle from the Hertz Collection and 1,000 Sindbad Miles for every eligible rental with the Hertz Prestige Collection. Gina Costa, Hertz Commercial Director for Middle East and Africa, told Travel Daily: “We’re really working to expand our reach within the airline and Oman Air is a significant addition to our portfolio of partnerships.”
Costa, who is new to the role, said Hertz would witness “significant growth” in the region as new products and systems were introduced in the coming months.
“We have a new regional approach to doing business,” she explained. “There’s lots of innovation going on within the industry and new products are being designed and launched. “This year we’ll see enhancements in the Middle East region; systems being enhanced, websites upgraded.”
