Hilton has signed its first hotel in New Caledonia – the Hilton Noumea La Promenade Residences.
The company penned a management deal for the 154-apartment property with GLP Hotels New Caledonia, in a move that will expand the Hilton brand in the South Pacific to four properties in three countries – New Caledonia, Fiji and French Polynesia. The latest addition is located next to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed New Caledonia lagoon.
“The opening of Hilton Noumea La Promenade Residences marks entry of the Hilton brand in a new country and brings Hilton Worldwide’s flagship brand portfolio to 80 countries and territories around the world,” said Rob Palleschi, global head of Hilton Hotels & Resorts. “We look forward to helping our guests create memorable experiences as they explore this South Pacific destination with us.”
The three tower Hilton Noumea La Promenade Residences is located on Anse Vata Beach, in the capital Noumea’s main tourism and accommodation district. The hotel’s 154 apartments range from studios to one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, all of which come equipped with a kitchen and laundry.
The hotel will open with a newly-renovated main entrance and lobby, while facilities include a heated swimming pool, restaurant, business centre, gym and wellness centre for women. There is also a glass-walled chapel located in the grounds with views over Anse Vata Bay, plus a conference room.
Hilton Noumea La Promenade Residences adds to the company’s Australasia portfolio, which includes 13 properties in Australia, four in New Zealand and three in the South Pacific – Fiji Beach Resort & Spa managed by Hilton, Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa and Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa in French Polynesia.
