Hilton has opened its second DoubleTree hotel in Guangzhou.
The 314-room DoubleTree by Hilton Guangzhou Science City is located in the Guangzhou High Tech Development District, or Science City, 40km from the city’s Baiyun International Airport.
“Science City is one of the leading strategic development areas in Guangzhou, offering… excellent opportunities for domestic and international companies that wish to grow in South China,” said Bruce McKenzie, Hilton’s senior vice president of operations for Greater China & Mongolia.
“Having operated in China for 27 years with 54 hotels currently open, we remain committed to supporting the growth of key regions in the country and look forward to addressing the demand for quality hotels in Guangzhou.”
Facilities at the upscale hotel include four F&B outlets, including a restaurant specialising in the local Chaozhou cuisine, plus an outdoor swimming pool, a 24-hour fitness centre and 24-hour “connectivity zone”. For the MICE market there is also 2,000m² of indoor meeting space, including a ballroom and six function rooms, plus a 2,500m² rooftop garden.
DoubleTree by Hilton Guangzhou Science City becomes the brand’s second hotel in Guangzhou, following the DoubleTree by Hilton Guangzhou. It also adds to a portfolio of 20 DoubleTree hotels currently operating in China.
