Hilton has announced plans to expand its presence in Fiji with the launch of new Hilton and DoubleTree branded resorts.
The Fiji Beach Resort & Spa, which was already managed by Hilton, has now been officially rebranded as the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa. And later this year the company will debut its upscale DoubleTree brand in the country, with the launch of the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Fiji Sonaisali Island.
“The rebranding of Fiji Beach Resort & Spa… to Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa, along with the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Fiji Sonaisali Island later this year, reinforces the importance of the Fijian market to Hilton Worldwide while presenting guests with a choice of different accommodation styles when visiting the beautiful destination. We remain dedicated to providing all of our guests with the perfect Fijian holiday,” said Frederic Lebegue, general manager of the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort.
Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa is located on Denarau Island, 20 minutes from Nadi Airport. The 271-room resort is set directly on the beach and features three restaurants, a bar, spa, fitness centre, seven pools and function space. And the resort will be expanded this year, with the addition of new meeting facilities, more rooms and a new F&B outlet.
The DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Fiji Sonaisali Island meanwhile, will also be located in a seafront location and will offer 123 rooms, a swimming pool, F&B outlets and conference facilities.
The new resorts will join Hilton’s existing portfolio of 21 hotels in Australasia.
