Hong Kong-based Cachet Hotel Group (CHG) has unveiled plans to launch its first property in the Americas.
The dual-branded Cachet Corazon project will be located in the Mexican resort of Cabo San Lucas, overlooking the Sea of Cortez.
The first phase of the project, the 77-room Cachet Beach, is scheduled to open in late 2016 following the renovation of an existing tower. Construction of the second phase, the 204-room Cachet Deluxe, is already underway and scheduled to open in early 2018.
“We are very excited to partner with CHG to bring the renowned global brand to Cabo,” said Ilda Ledesma of the project’s development company, Cabo Villas Beach Resort & Spa (CVBR). “Cachet will bring a new level of innovation and offer the best of hospitality, design and nightlife that will appeal to a new generation of leisure travellers.
“The launch of this resort is revolutionary for the main beach of Cabo and will transform the landscape, leading the hospitality market place with a smart, efficient and well-designed resort.”
Cachet Beach is designed to offer “fun and social guest experiences” with a nightlife programmes and social rooftop spaces. Cachet Deluxe meanwhile, will provide an “intimate beachfront resort experience”, with some units featuring outdoor jacuzzis.
Facilities at the complex will include five restaurants, including Cabo’s first and only upscale Chinese restaurant, plus a rooftop pool lounge, a beach club that will be managed by a “world-class nightlife operator”, and more than 1,800m² of indoor and outdoor event space.
CHG currently operates properties in China under its Cachet and URBN brands, and has plans for a series of new properties and nightlife venues across Asia and the Americas.
