Hyatt has introduced two new all-inclusive brands in what the group calls the fastest-growing segment of the hotel industry.
Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara will initially launch in Latin America destinations owned and managed by Plata Hotels & Resorts BV.
Hyatt Ziva will debut in Los Cabos and Zilara will be introduced in Cancun, with both hotels going through renovations before opening in late 2014.
The concept will include providing more information about activities and excursions before arrival; more spontaneity in its resorts and showing local culture in and outside the resort.
Zilara will be an adults-only brand with ‘unscripted experiences’, while Ziva will be aimed at groups, families and friends.
“The Hyatt approach to developing brand experiences starts with listening closely to our guests to get a deep understanding of how they live and what they need. With brands like Andaz, Hyatt Place and Hyatt House, we have redefined every segment we’ve entered in the past seven years and believe we can do the same with the all-inclusive segment,” said John Wallis, chief marketing officer, Hyatt Hotels Corporation. “We are delighted to enter this segment working with an experienced company, Playa, to provide a distinctive all inclusive experience that delivers the consistent quality and service for which Hyatt is known.”
