Cafe del Mar, the famous beach club and music label, will arrive in Asia for the first time with the opening of a new venue at Phuket’s Kamala Bay.
The new beach club will form part of MontAzure, the upscale resort and residential development currently rising on the island’s west coast, which will also include the new Twinpalms resort. Cafe del Mar Phuket will be set on a 4,000m² plot of land along a 40-metre stretch of beachfront.
“The stunning waterfront strip at MontAzure is second to none and the perfect location for a lifestyle-driven international beach club. Café Del Mar will also provide the ideal venue for unrivalled events and world class performances,” said Santeri Nurmi, managing director of Café Del Mar Phuket.
The Café del Mar brand was born in Ibiza in 1980, at a bar next to San Antonio beach. It has since become one of the biggest names in dance music and largest publishers of its genre in the world.
Its arrival in Phuket follows the announcement earlier this year that two other global dance music brands, Ministry of Sound and Hed Kandi, will launch at Phuket’s Dream Beach Club.
