As Taiwan has now introduced its first travel bubble in the COVID era, China Airlines has begun to fly to Palau under the Taiwan-Palau Travel Bubble agreement this April. The inaugural tour set off today on 1 April with the President of Palau Surangel Whipps Jr. onboard.

For the Taipei (Taoyuan)-Palau route, China Airlines imbued every aspect of cabin service with local Taiwanese features, such as pineapples, with the maritime elements of Palau. From the welcome drinks in Business Class to the menu and cutlery in all classes, everything gained a tropical island touch.

As part of the Taiwan-Palau travel bubble celebrations, flight CI028 carrying the inaugural tour departed at 14:30 Taipei time today and arrived in Palau at 19:20. The travellers will return aboard flight CI027 that will take off at 19:50 local time and land back in Taiwan at 22:50 on 4 April.

China Airlines will operate 737-800 aircraft on the Taiwan -Palau route. To celebrate the launch of the Taiwan-Palau travel bubble, China Airlines will present each traveller with a ‘Sky Blue Amenities Kit’. All travellers will also receive an ‘Eco Travel Cup + Safety Pack’ to help fight COVID-19 and join China Airlines in making contribution to energy conservation and carbon reduction.

The government has set a total cap of 110 people for tour groups on each Taipei-Palau flight operated by China Airlines.
