Tourism New Zealand has appointed Marc Mulcahy to the role of trade development consultant, UK and Ireland.
Based in Tourism NZ’s London office, Mulcahy will join regional manager Danielle Genty-Nott in developing and implementing Tourism New Zealand’s trade strategy in the UK and Ireland, and further strengthening key relationships.
Prior to joining Tourism New Zealand, Mulcahy held the role of business development manager at Nomad Safaris in Queenstown, through which he gained valuable New Zealand tourism industry experience and contacts. He has also worked in hotels and ski operations in Scotland and New Zealand and holds a Bachelor of Business Studies.
ITP – International Travel Partnership, one of the world’s fastest-growing travel management consortiums, has appointed Richard Lovelock director of Business Travel Management based at ITP’s offices in Eton.
Jean-Claude Fert, president of ITP, said: “Richard’s role is a new position in ITP aimed at supporting new business activity and the ongoing development of ITP’s Sales and Account Management infrastructure. He is an important addition to the ITP Team in Eton and brings with him many years of experience in multinational corporate travel sales.”
Michael Uzielli has taken up his role as Heathrow’s new chief financial officer.
In his new role, he will work to strengthen Heathrow’s reputation in international markets as a pre-eminent global infrastructure asset and building confidence in the financing of Heathrow’s expansion plans.
Michael’s other responsibilities will include financial and investment strategies and management, tax, insurance, treasury and investor relations. He was previously finance director for British Gas and prior to that had a career spanning the investment and aviation sectors including with Schroders and British Airways.
He has a strong track record in leading highly engaged finance teams that support companies to make sound financial and investment decisions and in building strong relationships within the financial and business sectors, Government and regulators.
Commenting on the appointment, Heathrow CEO John Holland-Kaye said: “I’m delighted to welcome Michael to the Heathrow team. I’m confident his breadth of experience will help us take Heathrow from being one of the best airports in Europe to one of the best in the world.”
Perception Sales & Marketing, the UK-based hotel PR and sales consultancy representative, has expanded its team with the appointment of Charlotte Drinkwater as account director.
Prior to joining Perception, Charlotte spent four and a half years as regional sales manager at The Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland and was previously the International corporate sales manager at Kempinski Hotels and Resorts.
Charlotte will be based in the South of England in a newly created role as account director, and will be responsible for driving forward event enquiries from clients in London and the South East.
Director of Perception, Cath Couzens said: “Charlotte joins us at an exciting time following our recent appointment as UK sales representatives of Osea Island and the launch of the Kameha Grand, Zürich in March. This is a key appointment for the Perception team and we are looking forward to Charlotte joining us at The Meetings Show in July.”
