GEORGES KARAM has been appointed direc
tor, sales and marketing for Hilton Beirut Habtoor Grand and Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace. Karam brings with him 12 years of hospitality experience to the role and comprehensive knowledge of the city of Beirut. He has a team of 20 members and is responsible for all commercial activity including sales, groups, conferences, events, marketing and communications.
ROLF JAN VAN ZEIJL has been appointed director of operations for . Previously, working with food and beverage operations for Hilton Worldwide MEA, Rolf will lead the teams from F&B, front office, security, housekeeping, engineering and spa and fitness. Rolf is a seasoned professional with 12 years of hospitality experience.
KASPER WIGEN has been appointed marketing and communications manager for Hilton Beirut Habtoor Grand and Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace. Kasper joins Hilton’s Beirut hotels from Hilton Al Ain, UAE and Hilton Copenhagen Airport. Kasper will be responsible for all marketing, PR and communications activity for Hilton Beirut Habtoor Grand and Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace.
TREVOR BENNETT has been appointed senior chief engineer for Hilton Beirut Habtoor Grand and Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace. Bennett brings with him over 40 years of an engineering background, he brings a wealth of experience to this new role. He has previously worked with Hilton London Olympia and Hilton Stansted with responsibility for overseeing major refurbishment projects.
JEAN FRANCOIS PELAEZ has been appointed executive chef for Hilton Beirut Habtoor Grand and Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace. With prior Michelen-star experience, Jean brings a 25 year culinary experience to this new role. He has worked in Europe as well as Africa with a number of notable international hospitality companies. He will be responsible for all culinary and kitchen areas and will report directly to the Director of Operations.
