Jakarta’s Lebak Bulus Stadium will be demolished to make room for the city’s new mass rapid transport (MRT) system, the Jakarta Post reported yesterday. Authorities in the Indonesian capital are currently commandeering land for the new MRT line, which will stretch 15.2km and include 13 stations. The Jakarta Spatial Planning Agency was reported saying that the 25,000-capacity stadium would be demolished this year, and that that a replacement stadium would be developed elsewhere.
