JAL shares plummet 81%

Shares in Japan Airlines (JAL) have fallen sharply on speculation that it will file for bankruptcy next week. According to a BBC report, JAL shares tumbled 81% yesterday to a new record low of just JPY7 yen (7.7 US cents). The airline’s market value has fallen by about US$1.8 billion in two days to US$200 million, the report added.
