Japan Airlines to update London cabins

Japan Airlines (JAL) has announced it will install new seats on its London route early next year.
The carrier will initially unveils the new seats across all the cabins on its London-Tokyo route in January, followed by New York JFK and other long-haul routes in Europe and the US. The designs are said to be a ‘leap forward’ in comfort and function, with eight in first class; 39 in business; 40 in premium economy and 135 in economy. Changes to its in-flight services and meals will also be made.
“Drawing from our customers’ feedback, we continue to make earnest efforts in creating services with originality and innovative products that can meet and exceed their expectations,” said Takahisa Hatakeyama, vice president of product & service strategy development of JAL. “Extensive research and planning have gone into the selection of these new products, and with the roll-out including other upcoming services, we hope to deliver on our promise to offer our customers excellence in safety and quality.”
Its Dreamliner will also receive full-flat beds in the second half of 2013 with its other aircraft to be updated from then.
