Jet Airways has entered into a new codeshare agreement with airberlin.
The arrangement will see Jet place its 9W code on airberlin’s daily flights to Berlin and Dusseldorf, from Abu Dhabi. Jet already operates 12 daily services to Abu Dhabi from 11 Indian cities.
“We are pleased to commence our codeshare partnership with airberlin, offering our guests convenient flight connections to Berlin and Dusseldorf via Abu Dhabi,” said Raj Sivakumar, Jet’s chief commercial officer.
“We are confident that these flights will prove to be popular amongst travellers between India and Germany, not only for business purposes but tourism as well.”
Both Jet and airberlin are part-owned by Abu Dhabi-based Etihad, and are increasingly routing flights through the UAE capital to capitalise on the network of Etihad and its global partners.
