Jet2.com has made its fares accessible to more travel agents through a GDS deal with Amadeus.
The partnership will allow the airline to extend its fares and inventory to agents that use Amadeus platforms including those agents based in Europe.
“This latest development is part of our ongoing trade strategy to make Jet2.com flights accessible to even more agents both in the UK and across Europe. We are thrilled to be partnering with Amadeus, as it will allow us to target a significant volume of customers with our great value flights and award winning customer service,” said Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays.
Low-fare bookings through Amadeus increased 17% year-on-year in the first nine months of 2014.
Amadeus’ managing director UK & Ireland Diane Bouzebiba said: “The exciting addition of Jet2.com flights is going to be welcomed with open arms by travel professionals up and down the country and in Europe who rely on Amadeus to offer consumers choice, value for money, and the convenience of local departure points. We are delighted to be partnering with such a dynamic airline that is recognised for giving value to travellers.”
