Jetstar adds Singapore-Osaka flights

Jetstar Asia will commence flights to Osaka this evening (Thursday 1 November 2012).

The new service will become the low-cost carrier’s fourth long-haul route from Singapore, following Melbourne, Auckland and Beijing. The Osaka service will initially operate three times a week using an Airbus A330 aircraft, departing Singapore’s Changi airport on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, and returning the following day. A fourth weekly flight, leaving on Mondays, will be added from 17 December.

“Singaporeans love Japan and now we have another reason to visit more often with great affordable fares,” said Jetstar Asia’s CEO, Barathan Pasupathi. “The new Jetstar service will also offer customers great access to the low fares domestic network Jetstar Japan has from Osaka with flights to Tokyo, Sapporo, Fukuoka and Okinawa.”

The new service will connect to Jetstar’s Darwin-Singapore flights, offering a new connection between Australia and Japan. The Darwin leg will be operated by an Airbus A321.
