The Lao National Tourism Administration (LNTA) has announced the expansion of its monthly online newsletter, and the debut of the Ecotourism Laos Google Group. Developed with the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) Sustainable Tourism Development Project, the ‘What’s New @ Ecotourism Laos’ newsletter offers information and news on the country’s ecotourism activities in three main categories: ‘What’s New’, ‘Lao Tourism in the News’, and ‘Festivals & Events’. The Google group meanwhile, aims to provide consumers and the travel trade with a source for Laos tourism news and a public platform for comments.
“Our aim is threefold,” said LNTA-ADB Sustainable Tourism Development Project Team Leader, Rik Ponne. “We want to attract more visitors to the Ecotourism Laos website, offer a ‘one-stop shop’ for Lao tourism news, and build a social network among tourists and the Lao tourism and hospitality sector.”
What’s New @ Ecotourism Laos is available online at www.ecotourismlaos.com/news, and the Ecotourism Laos Google Group is located at groups.google.com/group/ecotourismlaos.
