Peter Gowers has been appointed as the new CEO of Travelodge. Gowers will succeed Grant Hearn on 25 November from Safestore Holdings where he has been CEO since 2011. Gowers has also held the role of chief executive Asia Pacific for IHG and chief marketing officer at IHG worldwide.
Philip Britton has joined Melia Hotels International as global account manager, luxury sales & leisure. He joins an expanding team at the fast growing chain which includes the ME London. Tasked with increasing sales and brand awareness across the UK, he joins from UKinbound where in his two years he was responsible for the growth of the association.
Richard Williams has become EMEA travel agency and supplier account manager at THOR. Based in London, Williams will be responsible for managing, training and servicing new and existing relationships in the EMEA region for the travel services company. Williams was previously head of supplier relations at Portman Travel and has also worked at American Express, BCD Travel and Flight Centre.
David Edwards has joined Qatar Executive as executive vice president. Edwards will be responsible for driving commercial and operational aspects of the business jet arm of Qatar Airways particularly in new markets. He joins the company from Gama Aviation. In addition ex-Vistajet Roberto Hlaca has been named vice president, sales, marketing and strategy at Qatar Executive and Captain Peter Resting has joined as vice president, flight operations.
Clare Newman has been named head of sales and marketing at City Cruises. Newman joins the company from the Port of Dover where she was commercial sales and business development manager. She will now drive the sales and development of the Thames vessel operator.
John Seaton has been promoted to vice president, sales EMEA and APAC at eRevMax. Seaton will be responsible for growing the RateTiger and Connect solutions throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific region. He has been with eRevMax since 2010.
