Lufthansa parades first A380

Lufthansa has taken delivery of its first Airbus A380 aircraft, which is equipped with what it claims is the world’s quietest First Class cabin.The new cabin design features a range of sound absorption measures, including specially designed curtains, sound- insulating materials and new carpeting.Other key features include newly developed lie-flat seating, measuring 2.07 metres in length and 80 centimetres in width, and an air humidification system, which is the first of its kind to be installed on a commercial aircraft. The A380 features a total of 526 seats, comprising of eight in First Class, 98 in Business Class and 420 in Economy. The aircraft will commence scheduled flights on 11 June on the Frankfurt-Tokyo route. From 25 August, according to the latest planning, Lufthansa’s A380 will fly from Frankfurt to Beijing and from 25 October, the Lufthansa flagship is expected to be deployed on the Frankfurt-Johannesburg route as well.
