From April to November 2011, Lufthansa will completely revamp 10 Boeing 747-400s.
In its First Class cabin, each of the eight seats will have an adjacent full-length, permanent lie-flat bed, which measures about 2.4 metres in length and features a high-quality mattress. In-flight entertainment will be offered on new 17-inch monitors, while other comfort items include temperature-regulating blankets and pillows, as well as amenity kits from Porsche Design containing cosmetic articles from Lamer. The First Class cabin also features sound-absorbing curtains and insulation beneath the carpet.
The Business and Economy Class cabins on the Boeing 747-400 are also being refurbished, including a revamped entrance area and new lavatories. In Economy Class, passengers can enjoy an individual entertainment system offering a films in eight languages, as well as TV series, radio programmes and music channels.
Following a redesign of the back rest, the new Economy Class seats also provide two inches of additional legroom.
