Lufthansa traffic improves in 2010

The Lufthansa Group has posted improved traffic figures in 2010, compared to the previous year. The airlines in the group welcomed 90.2 million passengers on board their flights over the past 12 months -17.2% up from 2009. In terms of revenue seat kilometres demand rose 14.0% while capacity increased 12.1%, allowing load factor to rise 1.4 points. Of the total passengers, 58.9 million flew with Lufthansa, 14.2 million with SWISS, 10.9 million with Austrian Airlines and 6.2 million with bmi.
