Macau sees Chinese New Year gambling boom

Tourists from the Chinese mainland flocked into Macau during the seven-day Lunar New Year holiday, leading to a boom for the city’s casinos, Xinhua has reported. Macau’s casinos took approximately MOP3 billion (US$368 million) in table game revenues from 13-19 February the report said. In the whole of January, gaming revenues amounted to MOP8.6 billion.
