Marriott opens Suzhou hotel

BETHESDA, Maryland, USA January 11, 2010 - Welcoming the New Year, the Suzhou Marriott Hotel opened its doors to guests, offering luxurious accommodations, exquisite restaurants, modern design and great meeting space. The new hotel incorporates the latest innovations of Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International’s performance-driven brand. Operating under a long-term management agreement between Marriott International and Suzhou New Development Investment Co., Ltd, the property’s general manager is Jerry Miao and director of marketing is Loren Zhu.
In celebration of its opening, the hotel currently offers a special introductory rate of CNY 788 per night for deluxe accommodations, complimentary internet access and breakfast buffet for two, valid until March 31, 2010.
Situated in an ideal downtown area for business travelers, the Suzhou Marriott Hotel is located in close vicinity to the new high tech development zone, adjacent to Suzhou Government and Administrative Service Center, with easy access to Suzhou International Expo Center and China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park.
Spacious guest rooms are designed to accommodate both leisure and business visitors, featuring plush new bedding, bathrobes, flat screen television, ergonomic chairs, high speed internet and a well lit full-sized desk. The executive lounge is located on the 48th floor and boasts a superior view of the city.
In keeping with Marriott’s global redesign of the traditional hotel lobby into a social hub, the Suzhou Marriott Hotel lobby space is open and inviting. Various defined zones allow guests to utilize the space for a range of activities, including socializing, independent relaxation, business meetings or simply having a meal. Located in the lobby area are two food and beverage outlets. The Lounge is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, while the stylish Pulp Bar serves up drinks, dinner, music and entertainment.
