The World Chinese Economic Forum (WCEF) will be held in Melbourne in November 2012. This is the first time the event will be held outside of Kuala Lumpur, marking another major contract win for the Melbourne Convention + Visitors Bureau (MCVB). Sandra Chipchase, Chief Executive Officer of the MCVB, said the two-day event would draw 500 delegates from around the world, generate more than AU$1 million for the state of Victoria and also provide significant trade and investment benefits for Australia. For MCVB, its also a chance to showcase the facility as a world class venue to investors, academic scholars and political leaders from China, Malaysia, the US and Europe.
