The Ministry of Tourism (MoT) is set to extend its ‘Hunar Se Rozgar’ scheme for training professionals in the tourism sector. The scheme which was restricted to government-run institutes will now be extended to private hospitality institutes.
“We have sanctioned 49 institutes of hotel management, in addition to 16 under construction, to help people from the economically weaker section acquire skills, so that they can get employment in the tourism sector,” Sanjay Kothari, Special Secretary at MoT was quoted as saying by the Financial Express.
