Horwath HTL Australia has released revised dates for the ANZPHIC 2011 conference it hosts, which was postponed last week due to ash cloud from a volcano in Chile.
The conference, which is in its 11th year, together with the Serviced Apartment Summit, both had to be postponed after airspace over Australia and New Zealand was closed due to volcanic ash that caused over 600 flights to be cancelled. The conference will now take place at the same venue, the Hilton Sydney, on 18-19 July. The conference will follow the same format as originally scheduled, with the sessions being re-organised and presented as previous advertised.
John Smith, Managing Director of Horwath HTL Australia, said; “The situation we suddenly faced less than 24 hours before the first of the two events was due to commence was a nightmare scenario, but once we established that no-one was able to predict when the skies would re-open, we had no choice but to re-schedule. Fortunately, we have been able to book new dates at the same venue and we have received an overwhelming level of support from our sponsors and delegates. So we are looking forward to welcoming the industry to the same two events, just three weeks after they were originally planned – and as our theme this year declares Surf’s Up!”
