Hong Kong-based New World Hotels has been renamed New World Hotels & Resorts, to reflect its aim to expand to resort destinations in Asia Pacific.
The hotel group is currently in the midst of a major expansion strategy that will see it triple its portfolio size within five years. Eight New World Hotels are currently located in Greater China, Vietnam and the Philippines, including the recently-launched New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel.
The company also has a firm pipeline of eight new properties, with the New World Guiyang Hotel scheduled to open this month.
“Our name change reflects our growth plans and the opportunities on our doorstep, with increasing requests to extend our presence in resort destinations,” said Symon Bridle, chief operating officer of Rosewood Hotel Group, the parent company of New World.
To support the rebranding, the company has also unveiled a new website. The revamped newworldhotels.com site is mobile-friendly and multi-lingual, and is intended to showcase the group’s new development.
