AccorHotels has continued to expand its midscale portfolio in eastern China, with the opening of a new Novotel in Ningbo.
Coming just a week after the launch of the first Novotel in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, the new Novotel Ningbo East marks the brand’s debut in neighbouring Zhejiang province.
“We’re pleased to introduce our first Novotel in one of the fastest growing commercial hub in the city Ningbo,” said Michel Molliet, AccorHotels’ chief operating officer for Greater China.
“The launch of this property demonstrates AccorHotels’ commitment in bringing authentic French hospitality to travellers around the region with diversified portfolio to meet various needs. The opening of Novotel Ningbo East complemented our portfolio in the city where we currently have a Sofitel property under the luxury collection and two ibis hotels in the economy category.”
Located 30 minutes’ from Ningbo’s Lishe International Airport and close to the Ningbo International Convention & Exhibition Centre, the new build Novotel offers 258 rooms, all featuring coffee machines and iPhone docking stations.
Facilities include a restaurant, lobby lounge, a web corner, gym, yoga and chess rooms, and meeting space.
Novotel now operates five hotels in eastern China, including two properties in Nanjing and others in Shanghai, Suzhou and Ningbo.
