In an effort to support local craftsmen, Omran has launched its Corporate Social Responsibility programme that aims to empower and self-support communities in the regions.

Aptly titled ‘Zaree’, the income generating programme offers local traditions and values to tourists through diverse activities in Wilayat Khasab.

Led by a group of local women, ‘Zaree’ will sell special packages to small groups of female tourists who wish to visit Khasab Castle and embark on a cultural experience.

With an estimated number of 48 cruise ships expected to visit Khasab Port between November 2012 and March 2013, each carrying between 400 and 4,000 passengers, ‘Zaree’ is envisioned to become the welcoming face of Omani tradition and culture in Musandam.
