Pacific routes boost US carrier

Both Delta Air Lines and American Airlines have announced double-digit growth on their Pacific routes in December 2010. Atlanta-based Delta saw a 13.3% surge in demand on its Pacific routes, with load factors averaging an impressive 85.6%. Forth Worth-based American meanwhile, saw a 15.4% surge in traffic of Pacific routes last month, with load factors of 80.1%. For both carriers, the Pacific routes represented the fastest-growing market.
