Pegasus Solutions has launched ContentHub – a new solution designed to simplify content management for hotels. The solution allows hotels to combine image and text updates to online and GDS channels, ensuring content is kept current and accurate across all channels.
With a single management area, ContentHub eliminates the need for hotels to upload images and text into multiple systems using multiple tools.
“The list of selling opportunities for hotels is multiplying at an exponential rate, and unfortunately, hotel resources are not,” said Mike Kistner, CEO of Pegasus Solutions. “Hotels now have to consider how they will manage both a mobile and effective brand site while they’re still trying to maintain rates, availability and accurate rich content online and in the GDS. ContentHub eases these challenges, so you have the opportunity to be sold to your standards in more channels more often.”
Pegasus currently manages the largest repository of hotel descriptive content in the world with its Hotel Content Database (HCD), which houses images, property and room descriptions for approximately 90,000 hotels. With ContentHub, hotel descriptive content entered into the HCD by a hotel chain, either via XML Update Interface or through Pegasus’ Content Manager, will be used not only in online distribution, but also for managing content in the GDS.
Traditionally, the HCD has pushed descriptive content to online travel agencies (OTAs). With ContentHub, the HCD will also provide the same descriptive content, supplied through a single point of entry, to the four GDSs. The solution seamlessly integrates with VFM Leonardo VScape and with HCD tools such as Content Manager, Translation Services, and MapViewer.
