Carnival subsidiary Princess Cruises has announced it will be opening five new offices in China to target one of the fastest growing markets in the world.
The locations have been revealed as Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin, Guangzhou and Chengdu.
“The cruise vacation market is in its infancy in China, and therefore we see this region as one with exciting growth potential,” said Alan Buckelew, president and CEO of Princess Cruises.
“The new offices in China will support Princess’ marketing efforts to increase the number of Chinese passengers sourced for our global cruises.”
The offices will be headed by Cherry Wang (pictured) who the brand has appointed its China country director. She will be based in Shanghai and was previously general manager of Princess Cruises’ China sales agent ISA group.
The Princess offices have been opened by Carnival’s new Asia branch, Carnival Asia.
