Accor has revealed that it will launch its first Pullman hotel in Fiji next year.
The company has signed a contract to manage a new-build property in the South Pacific country, which will be known as the Pullman Nadi Bay Resort & Spa.
Scheduled to open in 2016, the new upscale resort will sit on a beachfront location overlooking Nadi Bay, just 2km from Fiji’s main international airport. It will feature 234 rooms and suites, six restaurants and bars, two swimming pools, a spa and four meetings rooms.
“In recent times we have recognised a sweet spot in the upscale market in Fiji, ideal for the Pullman brand which bridges the needs for business and leisure guests,” said Garth Simmons, senior vice president of operations for Accor New Zealand & Fiji.
“We congratulate [resort developer] Gokal Group on their initiative and vision to invest in this great development, and believe it will contribute to the true potential of this region being realised in coming years via significant employment, tourism and revenue growth.”
The Pullman Nadi Bay Resort & Spa will become Accor’s fifth property in Fiji, following the Mercure Nadi, Novotel Nadi, Novotel Suva Lami Bay, and the Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa on Denarau Island.
It will also join an existing portfolio of 13 Pullmans in the Oceania region, including 12 in Australia and one in New Zealand.
