Qantas will return to Vancouver with an extended seasonal schedule this year.
For the North American summer season, running from 20 June to 18 July 2015, Qantas will operate three weekly flights between Sydney and Vancouver, every Monday, Thursday and Saturday. These flights will then resume for the North American winter, between 12 December 2015 and 25 January 2016.
In total there will be 33 return services on the route – 13 in summer and 20 in winter. Flights will be operated using a three-class, 364-seat Boeing 747-400 aircraft.
“Our direct Vancouver services proved really popular so we’re pleased to expand them this year, offering customers more flights on more days over winter and summer, and delivering another boost for inbound tourism for Australia,” said Qantas’s executive manager for international sales, Stephen Thompson
“This is great news for customers planning their next international holiday, this time catering not only for Australian ski enthusiasts, but also for those wanting to explore Canada in summer.”
Passengers can also connect onwards to other Canadian destinations through Qantas’ codeshare partnership with WestJet.
