Qantas to raise fuel surcharges

Qantas will increase the international fuel surcharge for tickets issued on or after 19 February 2011. Following the increase in the price of jet fuel to US$117 per barrel, the Australian airline has raised its surcharge by as much as AU$50 (US$51) for a one-way ticket. The surcharge on Asia Pacific routes will increase from AU$55 to AU$75, while the levy on routes to North and South America, South Africa and India will rise from AU$85 to AU$115. The biggest increase will be on routes to Europe, which rise from AU$95 to AU4145.
