The first Airbus A380 for Middle Eastern carrier Qatar Airways took off from Toulouse yesterday, where it will head to Hamburg to be fully fitted before being painted.
The carrier, which has an order for 10 A380s, is on the verge of becoming the eleventh airline to own the biggest commercial jet in the world.
It formerly takes delivery of its first model in 2014.
As it currently stands, there are 108 A380s in operation; the model was brought in to service in 2007.
