Qatar Airways recently announced its support as the official airline of Orbis UK for a period of two years starting September 2015.
The airline will be flying medical volunteers on duty to the airline’s destinations worldwide.
Qatar Airways group chief executive, HE Akbar Al Baker said: “We believe that global aviation acts as a bridge between communities and people and we are delighted to support causes that affect individuals across every continent.”
Orbis since 1982 operates the world’s only flying eye hospital, a unique ophthalmic training centre on board a fully adapted DC-10 aircraft.
