Record numbers of Indians choose Macau

Indian tourists to Macau in 2009 hit a record 107,513, 31% more than the 82,369 travelling to the city in 2008, Anil Mathur reports. This 2008 figure represented an 80% increase over 2007 figures, showing the rapidly growing popularity of the gaming hub with Indian travellers. Since the opening of the Macau Tourist Office in India seven years ago, arrival figures to the city have risen 1,500%.
