The Regent Phuket Cape Panwa resort has been rebranded. The luxury property on Phuket’s southeast coast has been taken over by Thailand’s Amatara and renamed as the Amatara Resort & Wellness.
Following the rebranding, the resort will continue to offer its existing range of facilities, including 105 rooms and suites with private balconies, a selection of pool villas and six food and beverage outlets.
And Amatara will now focus on developing the resort as a wellness destination, with the rebranded 2000m² Amatara Spa to be extended in the coming months, with the addition of the world’s first “Thai hammam”, a new salt relaxation room and the launch of new Rhassoul clay treatments.
“Our seclusion in this beautiful location, and the holistic programmes that we offer for promoting good health and wellbeing, allow our guests to live life well and maintain their healthy lifestyles even when they are away from home,” said Brice Borin, the resort’s general manager.
The rebranding leaves Regent with just three hotels in Asia, located in Taipei, Beijing and Singapore. But it will be expanding further in the coming years, with plans for new luxury hotels in Jakarta, Chongqing, Harbin and Xi’an.
