Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) is celebrating 25 years of flying from London this month.

Marking its silver jubilee at a breakfast event last week with some of the UK’s key travel companies, the airline recently saw the completion of its rebrand that has seen the introduction of its flagship Boeing 787 Dreamliner to the UK.

Over the last 25 years, RB has increased the frequency of its flights from weekly to daily, and moved its base of operations from Gatwick airport to Heathrow airport.

Present as guest of honour at the silver jubilee celebrations was Brunei High Commissioner to the UK His Excellency Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan Bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin. Also present were RB trade partners, Brunei High Commission and Brunei Student Union officers.

RB also took the opportunity to officially launch its newly rebranded Customer Service Centre. The new office, located at 49 Cromwell Road, London, was the final stage of a rebrand that has seen the introduction of a daily Boeing 787 Dreamliner service to London, the roll-out of new cabin and ground crew uniforms, and a refresh of the RB logo.

The office was officially opened by the Brunei High Commissioner and Mohd Hanif Abdullah, RB’s acting chief commercial and planning officer.

Karam Chand, CEO of RB, commented: “After 41 proud years of service and 25 years of uninterrupted service to London, Royal Brunei Airlines is now set to move confidently into the future.”
