Royal Caribbean full-year profit declines

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd has posted a net income of US$162.4 million for the full year 2009, declining from a net income of US$573.7 million in 2008. Revenues for the full year 2009 declined to US$5.9 billion from US$6.5 billion the previous year. Fuel costs decreased 18% to US$486 per metric ton, with consumption finishing at 1,235,000 metric tons.
