Saudi Arabian Airlines is due to operate its first flight to Toronto from 28 October 2013. The airline is finalizing flight schedule and procedures for setting up its counters at Toronto International Airport, said the airline’s director general Khalid Abdullah Almolhem, as reported by Saudi Gazette.
This step comes in line with Saudia’s plans to enhance its competitiveness and provide more services to passengers. He further added Saudia would operate three flights a week on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays between the Kingdom and Toronto.
The flight will take 13 hours, he said, noting that the flight route from the Kingdom will be Riyadh to Toronto via Jeddah and vice versa, the official said. A Boeing 777-200 aircraft will be deployed on the route in a three configuration – 24 seats in first class; 28 seats in business class and 170 seats in economy. The airline is also planning to operate a flight from the Kingdom to Los Angeles directly in spring 2014.
