Starwood Hotels & Resorts has launched its first Sheraton resort on the Thai island of Koh Samui.
The new Sheraton Samui Resort, which is owned by TCC Hotels Group, is a conversion hotel located on Chaweng Noi Beach.
“The opening of Sheraton Samui Resort is set to solidify our presence in Koh Samui,” said Lothar Pehl, senior vice president of operations & global initiatives for Starwood Asia Pacific.
“The Sheraton brand is well-poised to meet the demands for contemporary upper-upscale accommodations, and we are confident that the brand will continue to resonate with travellers given its successes across the Thai kingdom.”
Sheraton Samui Resort offers 141 rooms and suites, all with private balconies and some with sea views. Facilities at the property include a 24-hour fitness centre, tennis courts, two salt-water swimming pools, a spa with seven treatment rooms, and four restaurants and bars.
For the MICE market, the resort also features 156m² of function space, including outdoor venues overlooking the Gulf of Thailand.
Sheraton Samui Resort joins the brand’s existing collection of properties in Thailand, including the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa, Sheraton Hua Hin Pranburi Villas, Sheraton Krabi Beach Resort and Sheraton Pattaya Resort.
